  3. Text/Background/Frame Trapping
  4. FLIGHTCHECK¬Æ can be instructed to alert you for various trapping conditions involving text, background fills or frames, lines and borders. Without FLIGHTCHECK¬Æ it would be extremely difficult and quite cumbersome to painstakingly examine each object, page by page, box by box, in hopes of finding a particular trapping problem. But, FLIGHTCHECK¬Æ can dutifully examine your document and locate occurences of overprint, knockout, automatic and custom trap values.

  6. Non-Default Trap
  7. FLIGHTCHECK¬Æ will alert you when any color has a user-defined trapping value. Most Service Bureaus strongly recommend one avoids manually editing or changing custom trapping values, but instead leave the trapping changes to the professionals. You can remedy this situation by returning the document to the application and going into Edit Colors and revert the altered trapping values back to their defaults.
